Much Better Than The "Featherweight".Great for R.V.

| I bought the Boss stick vacuum and the Featherweight vacuum because they were both priced the same and I couldn't decide between them. The Featherweight model had a lot of rave reviews about it but, having bought and used both, I think the Boss vacuum is SO MUCH better! The Boss's handle telescopes back into the unit; the Featherweight detaches. The Boss vacuum has more pick-up ability. The floor attachment of the Featherweight, when used on short carpet, lifts up on the backstroke; the Boss model does not. I put the Boss model in our R.V. to do quick pick-ups while on our trips (we bring our cats and needed a vacuum to get up cat litter as well as dirt)what a lifesaver!!! I kept the Featherweight in our house to do stairs and quick small clean-up jobs on our tile floor but, I wish it was a Boss model instead then I'd be really happy!!!! |
Great Little Vacuum!

| Got this based on the reviews. This is a handy little vacuum for my Kindergarten classroom. It's not heavy duty---more like a dustbuster with more attachments and an extendable handle. Works great for quick clean-ups and I love having the crevice tool. |
Best $20 I've spent in a while

| My house is mostly hard floors, so with 2 long-haired dogs and a cat there is hair everywhere if you don't clean it up every day or two. I bought another stick vac (Dirt Devil Power Stick) for $45 but it didn't convert to a handheld for doing corners and it was very powerful but the equally powerful exhaust just blew the pet hair everywhere. This little $20 vacuum is just perfect though. It's not a powerhouse but it has plenty of suction to pick up pet hair and most everything on the hard floors. The option of using it like a dustbuster is great for hard to reach areas and it's small enough and light enough to hang just about anywhere. Great product for the price. |
Vacuuming is not a chore with this little beauty

| I love this little vacuum. It is so light, easy to store, easy to pull out for quick cleanups. The replacement filter cup may need replacing in 6 months, and is a bit of a pain to track down, but is available online. (cheap). I'll keep using this vacuum as long as I can.(In fact, I already have one I've used for the last 2 years without a single problem.) |

| It is a great light weight product that has great pick up. It's very easy to get it out and clean the area you need and then you are done. It gets in small areas easily that larger vacuums can't get to. I love it for my tile and hardwood floors. |

| Love this product! I don't have to get out my heavy sweeper each time I need to sweep up some crumbs or pet hair. My kids love to use this sweeper too because it is so light and easy to use. It is also really easy to clean out after each use. If you have pets and children I highly recommend this sweeper for your kitchen. The only thing I would change would be the cord length. It needs to be a bit longer. |
great on hardwood floors!

A great little vacuum!

Having read both the good and the bad reviews I decided to just go ahead and purchase this little vacuum. I was looking for something that I could use to quickly pick up crumbs from around where my little one eats, cat litter and also cat hair off my tile and wood floors. I have to say that for around $25 this was a great investment. I find it just perfect for getting up the little crumbs that my little guy has left behind and also cleaning up after my cat. I have also found it great on my wooden stairs as it is so lightweight. I did purchase a 15 foot extension cord to allow me to clean the whole downstairs without moving sockets. For the price I find nothing to complain about. If you want something more powerful you need to pay more!
Also this is so lightweight that it is great for little kids to help with the chores as it isn't big and bulky. |
Great For Small Jobs

I researched small vacuums for a while before selecting the Eureka Lightweight Easy Clean Vacuum. We have a built-in central vac, but sometimes it is just too much of a pain to drag out the long hose and beater bar for a quick pick up job. I needed a vacuum that was:
-Easy to store and set up
-Able to pick up cat litter and small dry cat food
-Inexpensive - under $50 was preferable
This vacuum has been great! I use it daily because our cat is a big litter scatterer. It is basically a dustbuster type machine with an extendable handle and roller insert. But, because it plugs in instead of being battery powered, it has plenty of suction. It picks up cat litter and hair with ease on our hardwood floors with the roller insert, which stays put but is easy to remove. To pick up larger items such as dry food, simply remove the roller insert and use the more "dustbuster" type, "gulper" feature. I don't know that this would work well on carpet - I have used it only on hardwood tile, and the little mat that we put under the litter pan. When I've tried to use it on the bathmat, it really hasn't picked up much because there is no beater bar - it relies on suction only.
There is a built-in cord wrap, and the vacuum stores easily and can simply be leaned up against a wall or hung up to store. As far as emptying the canister, once again, this is like a dustbuster. The vacuum separates in half and you empty the detritus into the trash directly from the canister, separating out the filter first. I usually dump the debris into a bag and shake out the filter inside the bag to avoid having to pick out any cat hairs that have stuck to the filter.
Overall, I would buy this again in a heartbeat - it has really done the trick! |

| Great Product. I going to buy another two, one for the upstairs and one for the A/V room. Let's face it most products in this area are unpowered. This works and for the price you can't go wrong. I am not saying it would replace a full sized vacuum but since I don't have kids, it did for me. |
Wonderful

I have carpet in my dining room and I no longer have to drag out my big vacuum to do a quick pickup after dinner. I also have not had to sweep since I got this. It works very well on hard floors and picks up kitty litter and food. It also makes vacuuming the stairs much easier.
The dirt cup is easy to empty, but some stuff seems to stay stuck. I have to use the hose for my regular vacuum to clean the cat hair off the filter.
I really like this product. No, it doesn't work as well as a full size, but it is not intended to. It does exactly what it says and it sure beats dragging 20+ pounds up and down the stairs or out to your car! |

| Vacuum is more than I expected, I'm very particular about vacuum's and what they can do. It's great on hardwood, tile and plush carpet. It gets into tight spots and doesn't blow dust or hair. I've used it on practically everything and it does work. Buy one, you won't go wrong. |

Makes Cleaning a Joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| I don't normally take the time to write reviews, but this product has TOTALLY changed my life!!!!!!! I started my research with much more expensive units, both corded and cordless. I was floored when I came across this unit because of the price. It is probably the BEST and LEAST EXPENSIVE purchase you could ever make!!!!!!! What used to be a chore for me, is now a joy! I have a lot of ceramic tile in my house. I used to dread dragging out the upright vacuum cleaner, plugging in the hose and floor head, and dragging the upright behind me every step of the way. I received my Eureka 166DX today. I put it together in less than five minutes and had all the tile vaccumed in the next ten!!!!!!! I WAS AMAZED!!!!!!! It was actually FUN to get my tile clean!!!!!!! Like a couple of the other reviews mentioned, the biggest problem is the 15' cord. Like another review mentioned: JUST ADD AN EXTENSION CORD!!!!!!! PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!! The other problem that was sometimes mentioned was making a mess when emptying the dust container. Just do it inside a plastic bag, tie the bag, and throw it in the garbage!!!!!!! PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!! Since I have allergies, I even went as far as rinsing the filter after I removed all the lint/dust. I just popped it back in the unit when it was completely dry. The unit is now ready for my next fun job!!!!!!!! The other perks I like about this unit are that it has a crevice tool and it converts to a CORDED hand-held vac. I have had a number of cordless hand-helds, none of which are still around because the batteries stopped holding a charge, and the batteries were more expensive than the unit itself. My new hand-held vac will NEVER run out of juice and it does a wonderful job on upholstery (yes, I tried that too)!!!!!!! In conclusion, this unit is a winner; the best "electric broom" you could ever buy!!!!!!!!! |
Great Product

I love this floor vac. I have white tile floors in my kitchen, baths, hallways and they always have cat hair, dust, crumbs (my husband), etc on them. Trying to keep my floors clean has been a great challenge for me. This vac is just what I needed!!! I am a happy camper!
